The Hand that Rocks the Cradle Rocks the World
There has never been so much information available about mothering and how important mothers are.
Ironically, rather than empowering women, this has left many mothers feeling in doubt, deskilled, and guilty about aspects of their mothering.
This day offers a supportive and creative space for mothers of all ages to look at what mothering can mean across all generations and all cultures, and to take time to look at the ‘bigger picture’ of being a mother.
Using myths and stories of mothering, this day-long workshop will be a nourishing opportunity to explore such elements as:
- what becoming or being a mother means to participants;
- how universal and archetypal themes play out in individual mothering experiences;
- how an understanding of the neuroscience of attachment can affect how we can deeply value what we do as mothers;
- how these individual stories might map onto the greatest mothering story of all – that of humans and their Mother Earth.
Please note that mother who have babies who are 6 months or under are very welcome to come with their babies if they wish.
